I am a beauty start-up owner.
I am always very passionate about the beauty industry, including the categories of make-up, skincare, fragrance, haircare, and so much more. After exploring and trying out a wide variety of products, I became more interested in the behind-the-scene stories of each brand, learning about their unique culture, the business models, the science and technology behind their products, etc. That also was the point where I started brainstorming about my own beauty brand.
Indeed, creating a new brand wasn’t easy. As a start-up, it was most difficult raising brand awareness and building trust in our customers. We tried many ways to collaborate with third-party platforms to feature and sell our products, but the lack of past success cases in the initial stage makes difficult the mutually beneficial opportunities. In addition, it was hard to attract new consumers and turn them into loyal customers at first. With not many people knowing our brand and limited reviews available, it was not easy to get more customers to pay for products that have unclear results and effectiveness.
MICRO-INFLUENCERS
I am a beauty influencer!
Being a micro-influencer sounds much easier than it truly is. Taking pictures of myself, receiving goodies from brands and living a picturesque life sounds so carefree, but it is not as easy as it may look. Behind the scenes of a micro-influencers spotless page is hours of unseen hard work and dedication. These hours include reaching out to brands to collaborate with or without success, putting together multiple outfits and scenes to capture, and finding places to create content outside of the home and lots of reviewing images. Sometimes an hour long shoot can turn out unsuccessful and never make it to the feed.
Micro-influencers make their earnings off of brand sponsorships and collaborations. It can be difficult to reach out to brands and stand out amongst hundreds of other micro-influencers applying to their programs.
I want a platform where I can be matched with brands who want specific types of influencers to represent them. I want to share my passion to a niche following of beauty enthusiast and form a community with them. Beauty brands can find me easier in this niche as well instead of having to filter through all the categories of micro-influencers.

I am always looking for productive beauty tips or product recommendations, but I need to surf the internet (Goovgle, Youtube, beauty blogs, influencers, etc.). This”Beauty Due Diligence” consumes a lot of my time and energy. I hope one day I can use a “Beauty App” to solve my “Beauty Troubles’!
